Welcome
To our website
This church was founded in 1802 by a
group of nineteen people who formed the membership. The current building in New
London Road was built in the early 1840's and was opened on July 5th 1848.
A loop system is
installed in the church for the benefit of those who may be hard of hearing.
There is easy access for the disabled (including those in wheelchairs) to all
facilities at the chapel.
The
Authorised Version of the Bible is used in all our services and meetings,
because it is the most faithful and reliable translation of God’s Word in the
English language.
Each worship service on the
Lord’s Day is recorded, as well as other special meetings. Audiocassettes are
available on request, and may be either borrowed or purchased.
If you have no
connection with another place of worship, why not come along to one of our
services next Sunday?
You can be sure of a
warm welcome if you do. Perhaps you feel in need of the kind of help that only
a church can provide. If you are in such circumstances, (for instance-ill
health, loneliness, etc.), you can be assured of our interest and concern.
Those you can contact are listed on the
contact
page.
Then
Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name
of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD
helped us.
